New from Mindsense is our next big innovation in taming the email problem: Throttle.

Improving people's lives by
solving unsolved problems
with innovation & empathy.

Our newest brainchild, Throttle, is a service that allows you to control who can send you email, find out who tries to sell or steal your email address, stop giving out your email address online, and combine your mass mailings into a single daily digest email.

It gets right at the root of the email problem with an air-tight, drop-in solution. When it launched on Product Hunt, it became one of the rare few products to amass over 1,000 votes, and is being covered widely as it becomes a free solution for anyone to use.

From undergrads on Kickstarter, to the "best email app" for Mac & iPhone, and beyond

Starting as one of the highest-funded software projects on Kickstarter, Mail Pilot has gone on to be featured in publications such as the New York Times and Macworld magazine. Since 2012, it has been redefining how people think about, design, and use email. It's even led us to big innovations in email, beyond Mail Pilot.

Our software has been featured in:

Remote, but local

Mindsense was born & raised in Blacksburg, Virginia — voted Garden & Gun's Best Southern College Town in 2016 (Go Hokies!). We also have team members in Chattanooga, TN.

We think it’s important to be an active part of our local communities; not just a sign on a building. In fact, it’s so important to us that it’s a part of our vision. Here are some local organizations and events we have been proud to sponsor.

Making Mindsense

Project updates and articles on productivity, innovation, design, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Crowd-funded, self-directed, & customer-focused

We got our start on Kickstarter, and have been profitable since. Since 100% of our funding comes from ourselves and our customers, we don’t have investors to answer to - just our customers. They help us steer our products, and we enjoy the flexibility to regularly experiment with crazy ideas to see what works. Heck, that's how Mail Pilot was born in the first place. And we think it's how our next successes will be born, too.

Mindsense is one of the hottest startups in the country, thanks to the intense popularity of its first product, Mail Pilot.
