When I add an account, the loading bar hangs indefinitely. How do I fix this?

After clicking "Next" to add an account, if the loading bar hangs indefinitely, that could indicate a problem with your entries in Keychain Access. Here's the solution.

  1. Open Keychain Access
    In your "Applications" folder, open "Utilities". Launch the "Keychain Access" application in that folder.

  2. Find entries for your email address
    In the search bar, type the email address of the account that won't add to Mail Pilot.

  3. Delete the "mailPilot" and "mailPilotSMTP" entries
    Sort the results by name, and delete all entries whose names begin with "mailPilot".


  4. Try to add your account again
    If your account still hangs indefinitely, contact us for further troubleshooting.
