Learn the Mail Pilot Workflow
Common email clients are no longer efficient or intuitive for today's modern, action-based uses. Without any pre-conceived notions, Mail Pilot was designed and built from the ground up around a thoroughly-researched workflow employed by some of the most efficient email users. Each feature is based around this workflow to improve the email experience without overcomplicating it. Understanding this action-oriented workflow and embracing the importance of each feature is the key to maximizing your usage of Mail Pilot.
- Category — a Mail Pilot-specific folder, such as "Complete" or "Set Aside"
- Incomplete List / Inbox — in Mail Pilot, all messages in your inbox are incomplete. Therefore, in this document, we may refer to the inbox as the Incomplete List or the Incomplete Category. All three terms are interchangeable and synonymous.
Note about Threads
When you act on a thread, all messages in that thread are acted on together. If a new reply in that thread is received, the thread will appear in the Incomplete list as well as its organized location.
In Mail Pilot, all messages are considered either 'incomplete' or 'complete', just like a to-do list. All messages in your inbox are considered 'incomplete', and all messages that are archived are considered 'complete'
